THE JOURNEY IS A SPIRITUAL ONE, THE JOURNEY IS A PILGRIMAGE AND IS A SACRED ONE, THE JOURNEY IS OURS TO MAKE: ALONE BUT NEVER ALONE. SUCH IS THE VERY MEANING OF OUR EXISTENCE: FOREVER A SPIRITUAL AND A SACRED EXISTENCE, THOUGH SO OFTEN WE LOST SIGHT OF THAT TRULY HOLY FACT. WE GIVE MEANING TO OURSELVES AND MEANING TO OUR SACRED PLANET EARTH BY AWAKENING TO THAT MYSTICAL FACT. WE JOURNEY TO HEAL OURSELVES AND EACH OTHER: WE JOURNEY TOWARDS THE AWAKENING TO OUR SPIRITUAL AND SACRED REALITY. AND IN THAT AWAKENING WE ARE FOREVER ON THE SPIRITUAL, MYSTICAL AND INDEED SACRED PILGRIMAGE TOWARDS ONENESS WITH THE ALL, WHICH IS WHAT WE CALL GOD.
Humankind has had to make its own way to God. That has been our vital road. That is why general communion with the spirit world was condemned. It is also the meaning behind the story of Adam and Eve being banished from the Garden of Eden. At the same time, part of our purpose and destiny has been to investigate and control the material plane. To achieve the ultimate union (or reunion) with God, or with the ALL, we have to become masters and mistresses of every level of the Cosmos, of God’s creation; indeed of every ‘mansion in God’s house’. But this mastery, which might initially involve dominion and exploitation, is not achieved or made spiritually manifest until we have become steward’s of the physical plane, until we recognise our part in the ALL of the physical plane. Only when we are ONE with it, only when we nurture and care for it, will we have achieved the mastery requited of us, and of course that basically means mastery of ourselves. Now, as at last our minds and souls open to this crowning responsibility and achievement, do we again become aware of the spirit realms that await us and that have never abandoned us though we have wandered from them: as we were always meant to do.
These insights, that were begun by Richard Dell back in the early 1990s, touch on all the most meaningful and indeed important religious and spiritual issues of our times. They are the same now as they were then. These Insights see religion just as firmly grounded in the Earth and in the stars as it is in the spirit and in the heavens. Richard sees no distinction between the material and spiritual realms. ALL is ONE. This comes through so clearly in these Insights, and that is why the environmental movement – our awakening at last to the needs of Gaia, of our planet – is as important as any spiritual quest, as important as all our need for healing, and is and must be an integral part of that holistic oneness that we must achieve in all that we do. It is also why issues such as Black Lives Matter are deeply spiritual. Richard sees inclusivity as being at the core of all our spiritual and religious endeavours. ALL is indeed ONE. And that mantra is the key to humanity’s future evolution: spiritual, social and political.
