OUR SPIRITUAL, MYSTICAL AND INDEED SACRED PILGRIMAGE IS FOREVER TOWARDS ONENESS WITH THE ALL, WHICH IS WHAT WE CALL GOD. EVERY PART OF OUR LIVES, WHERE WE REALISE IT OR NOT, IS DEEPLY EMBEDDED IN THE SPIRITUAL, IS FOREVER DEEPLY SACRED, AND IS LIT IN MOMENTS OF CLARITY WITH THE TRANSCENDENT AND TRANSLUCENT LIGHT OF THE MYSTICAL. AND IT IS IN THOSE MOMENTS THAT WE CAN GLIMPSE OUR SACRED PILGRIMAGE, THAT WE CAN SENSE AND EVEN KNOW OUR ETERNAL AWAKENING, AND OUR INFINITE AND ETERNAL C0NNECTION WITH THE ALL. IN THOSE MOMENTS WE CAN SENSE OUR ONENESS WITH THE ALL, OUR ETERNAL ONENESS WITH THAT WHICH WE CALL GOD.
The spiritual quest is driven by self. At the door that guards the quest’s end, self must be transcended. The door’s key is always selfless love for ALL.
The old myths give clear signals about the path of test and ordeal towards initiation and ultimate spiritual fulfilment. The importance of Christ is that he showed that at the heart of this process, alongside bravery and virtue etc. is selfless love. Christ demonstrated through His crucifixion, the key, the final key, to the mysteries. We need the ancient virtues as we set out on our quest, but the final door, the final test can only be opened or won when the whole purpose of the quest is turned in on itself, when the pursuit almost becomes meaningless as the seeker stands at the door and no longer desires to pass, other than through his or her selfless love for all creation, as something done for them alone. The original purposes and desires of the seeker are necessarily lost at the very moment of triumph. But it is in that moment of loss, invariably felt as a soul-shattering and cataclysmic tragedy, that everything is gained.
These insights, that were begun by Richard Dell back in the early 1990s, touch on all the most meaningful and indeed important religious and spiritual issues of our times. They are the same now as they were then. These Insights see religion just as firmly grounded in the Earth and in the stars as it is in the spirit and in the heavens. Richard sees no distinction between the material and spiritual realms. ALL is ONE. This comes through so clearly in these Insights, and that is why the environmental movement – our awakening at last to the needs of Gaia, of our planet – is as important as any spiritual quest, as important as all our need for healing, and is and must be an integral part of that holistic oneness that we must achieve in all that we do. It is also why issues such as Black Lives Matter are deeply spiritual. Richard sees inclusivity as being at the core of all our spiritual and religious endeavours. ALL is indeed ONE. And that mantra is the key to humanity’s future evolution: spiritual, social and political.
